Installation Note: if you are using new ROM or OZ, you can safely ignore this and followings

  • ipkg 0.99+ is required. Sharp's default ipkg might give you error "ipkg says something went wrong. Sorry!". To get the lastest ipkg, goto http://www.killefiz.de/zaurus
  • Evaluation Version (2MB) / Complete Version (6MB)
  • Please remove evaluation copy before installing the complete version.
  • If you have installed evaluations copy. Depends on your ipkg, you may need to remove /home/root/Settings/shlcomlang.conf manually before you upgrade.

Note: Uninstall of Trial Version
Sometimes, ipkg will not work as it intended to be, so, you may need to get your hands dirty by uninstalling the program yourself manually. Though tedious, but it could be a fun exercise.
  1. Open a Terminal
  2. Delete the following directories:
    • /home/QtPalmtop/apps/Applications/SHLsjeneval.desktop
    • /home/QtPalmtop/apps/Applications/speakJP
    • /home/QtPalmtop/bin/speakJPeval
    • /home/QtPalmtop/pics/ico_speakJP.png
  3. Done!
